November9, 2014，Professor Ruth Hayhoe, a well-known professor in comparative higher education, and her assistant Dr. Julia Pan were invited from the University of Toronto to Shenzhen for a discussion on setting up an international centre for higher education innovation. Professor Hayhoe highly praised the proposal and hoped it can contribute to the goal of lifelong learning. She presented ideas about open learning resources in support of higher education innovation and recommended world experts and specialists in regards to the proposed programs and activities.
