UNESCO-ICHEI and Seewo Reached Preliminary Cooperation Intention
On April 28, 2021, the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (hereafter as UNESCO-ICHEI) paid a return visit to the Future Education Group of Guangzhou Shiyuan Electronic Technology Company Limited (hereinafter referred to as Seewo). The two parties had in-depth cooperation discussions on the field of international higher education.
President DENG Yigang made a speech
DENG Yigang, President of Seewo, warmly welcomed the arrival of UNESCO-ICHEI, and he pointed out that the core idea of Seewo is highly compatible with UNESCO-ICHEI. Meanwhile, he also indicated that both parties can try to find more path for cooperation in the digital transformation of higher education during the process of cross-cultural and cross-regional cooperation.
Deputy Director WANG Guobin delivered a speech
WANG Guobin, Deputy Director of UNESCO-ICHEI, spoke highly of Seewo's sense of corporate social responsibility, and expected that both sides could find the precise entry point for cooperation and reach a consensus through further discussion.

WEI Zhenshui, Vice President of Seewo, along with ZHOU Xiaofeng, Director of Seewo's Education Products Line and XIAO Yao, Director of Seewo's Teacher Development Center, respectively introduced the Education Research Institute, Digital Solution for Education Institute and Teacher Development Center of Seewo. Through the introduction, the delegation of UNESCO-ICHEI had a deep understanding of Seewo in following aspects: Seewo promotes the transformation of theory and research findings through the integration of production, teaching and research, and form standards for education informatization as well; Seewo builds online and offline teaching scenarios to support teaching with applied technology and data analysis; Seewo carries out the 'Xingtan Plan' which trains core teachers, promotes the improvement of teachers' ICT abilities, and cultivates the backbone of education.
UNESCO-ICHEI introduced IIOE and the strategic layout considerations to Seewo (L to R, FENG Siyuan, LI Fan, BI Xiaohan)
FENG Siyuan, Co-Director of IIOE Management Centre, along with LI Fan, Assistant Director and Chief of Asia Pacific Programme Office, and BI Xiaohan, Assistant Director and Chief of West-Asia and Africa Programme Office, respectively introduced the progrss of International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) project and the strategic layout considerations of UNESCO-ICHEI in Asia Pacific, west Asia and Africa. UNESCO-ICHEI expected that through cooperation with Seewo, further development in teacher capacity building and deeper educational impact at policy level can be carried out. It is also hoped that the cooperation between both sides can promote the process of providing customized smart classroom solutions for partner universities, empowering the teachers with ICT, and accelerating the digital transformation of universities.
Industry-education Consultant WANG Min proposed suggestions to Seewo
WANG Min, Industry-education Consultant of UNESCO-ICHEI, recognized Seewo's smart products and suggested that Seewo should find the right direction in the field of higher vocational education, dig in one or two specific areas, and make more exploration in systematization and standardization.
Director LI Ming made a conclusion
Finally, Director LI Ming exchanged views with President DENG Yigang, the two parties reached a preliminary cooperation intention to promote the digital transformation of universities in partner countries, implement easy-to-use smart classroom solutions, and develop standards for education digitalization.
