On April 2, International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) released both web and mobile platform. Till now, nearly 600 teachers in developing countries registered IIOE and many of them finished the ICT competency assessment. Through IIOE platform, teachers in higher education institutions (HEIs) in developing countries study quality cutting-edge courses for free such as cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence (AI), E-commerce, and teachers ICT capacity development courses. Besides, they will master practical online tools for teaching and enjoy their own improvement brought by ICT Competency Assessment.

The IIOE platform not only supports HEIs to participate in online projects for teacher training, but also provides on-site training opportunities for core teachers. It will also help all partner universities in Asian and African countries to build a local library with high-quality digital resources. Universities can continuously develop their institutional capabilities and make progress together with the platform.

Based on Internet and cloud technology, the IIOE platform aggregates high-quality teaching resources and establishes a convenient and efficient sharing mechanism. The platform will use cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize the user experience continuously, and build a favorable teaching environment by exploring machine learning and deep learning, thus enabling universities to implement innovative models for teaching research.

IIOE platform, a powerful cloud platform, integrates online learning, application tools, information exchange and sharing, teacher capacity training, and information collection and analysis. Meanwhile, IIOE Pro, a practical platform for IIOE, will also be released soon in order to satisfy users' needs of deep learning and to effectively mate the theory with practice. Based on real teaching scenarios, the project-driven Pro platform is able to record users' personalized data，helping them gain further improvement.

There are different focuses in different stages of IIOE project. IIOE platform provides support for shared strategic vision, and will also be constantly updated to meet the needs of different stages. The platform’s Learning Management System (LMS) which will be released soon provides a center of course production for teachers who closely follow and use IIOE. As a hub to roll out courses for IIOE, it also offers convenient tools for teachers. Besides, the mobile application will soon be available to users which can be run on iOS and Android, the two major mobile systems. It will make learning more convenient and flexible since users will learn online courses anytime and anywhere, and download courses offline.
