On July 19, Professor JIANG Hong, Chairperson of Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), led a delegation to visit UNESCO-ICHEI to examine the progress of the collaboration between SUSTech and UNESCO-ICHEI, aimed at advancing university internationalization strategy. The delegation was welcomed by Professor LI Ming, Director of UNESCO-ICHEI, and Professor HAN Wei, Executive Deputy Director of UNESCO-ICHEI.
Exchanging ideas during the meeting
Professor LI Ming warmly welcomed Professor JIANG Hong and expressed gratitude to SUSTech for its longstanding support to UNESCO-ICHEI. Given that UNESCO-ICHEI is located on the campus of SUSTech, both institutions have maintained a close working relationship since UNESCO-ICHEI's establishment in 2016. Collaborative efforts have included projects such as the Smart Classroom Projects, training programmes for international organizations, and hosting UNESCO international conferences in the field of higher education. Professor LI Ming underscored that the development of UNESCO-ICHEI is closely connected to the overall support of SUSTech. In the future, UNESCO-ICHEI will enhance its cooperation with various faculties of SUSTech as a way to develop specialization and authority, which altogether supports SUSTech international development and international students enrollment in particular. In the context of Artificial Intelligence, UNESCO-ICHEI will actively contribute to the professional development of SUSTech teaching staff and will exert effort to the transformation of SUSTech talent cultivation that sets AI at its core.
