ICHEI visited Wisdom Palace Group to discuss further cooperation

On August 18, 2021, the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI) visited Wisdom Palace Group and discussed deepening cooperation. Prof. LI Ming, Director of UNESCO-ICHEI, Prof. HAN Wei, Executive Deputy Director of UNESCO-ICHEI, WANG Min, Industry-education Consultant of UNESCO-ICHEI, LYU Feng, Director Assistant of UNESCO-ICHEI and Chief of IIOE Management Center, BI Xiaohan, Director Assistant of UNESCO-ICHEI and Chief of West Asia and Africa Programme Office, and Dr. FENG Siyuan, Course Expert of IIOE Management Center attended the visit and meeting.



ZHANG Shirong, Party Branch Secretary and Chairman of Wisdom Palace Group, MA Yongliang, Vice Chairman of Wisdom Palace Group and other leaders attended the visit and meeting. ZHANG Shirong introduced to Prof. LI Ming and other colleagues of UNESCO-ICHEI the goal of high-quality development, important measures, business development and achievements of Wisdom Palace. He also expressed that the two sides would concretly implement the cooperation agreement signed by both sides to achieve the goals of joint construction, mutual benefit, win-win cooperation and deepening friendship.

During the meeting, the two sides had in-depth discussions and exchanges on academic exchange, publication, language translation, course training and development, application and promotion of Wisdom Palace Library and Book City, construction of International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) Platform and its localization in Arab region, mutual sharing of higher education networks in Arab region, construction and promotion of Smart Classroom, etc.



Prof. LI Ming fully affirmed the role, mission and professional strength of Wisdom Palace Group in promoting China-Arab exchanges and cooperation over the years. He said that by connecting platforms and sharing resources, UNESCO-ICHEI and Wisdom Palace Group will deepen cooperation in publication, IIOE platform construction, online courses and training programmes in Arabic, and will thus leverage ICT to empower the digital transformation of higher education in Arab states.

In March 2021, on the occasion of the visit of a delegation from Wisdom Palace Group to UNESCO-ICHEI, the two sides signed a cooperation framework agreement. Subsequently, the two sides worked closely to complete the construction and launch of the Arabic version of the IIOE platform. The two sides will carry out all-round cooperation on existing basis, further contribute to the co-construction of the Belt and Road between China and Arab states in the field of higher education, and support the innovation and digital transformation of higher education in developing countries.
